, primarily of mentally challenged children and young adults. Assisted by specially trained teachers, speech therapists and physiotherapists, the children are taught daily life skills, functional academics and vocational skills.
60 beds are available to male and female residents. Children are admitted in the hostel above the age of 9 years and should ideally leave at the age of 18 years. They are taught to read and write, paint and draw. The children are taught various skills such as candle making, block printing, making of folders, gift-wrapping papers and paper bags, with the aim of rehabilitating them back into their communities with productive skills.
